Photographic
images:
The
negative or slide
is scanned at 4000 dpi, with a depth of 24 bits per
pixel, then very carefully spotted, cropped (if necessary) and given
colour and
contrast corrections to
match the original scene, using the same calibrated monitor used
to prepare photos for publication.
Digital
Images:
are
developed from the raw
data, direct from the camera, then cropped
(if necessary) and contrast and colour corrected to match the original
scene,
using the
same calibrated monitor as above.
Both types are
then printed on either Fuji Crystal
Archive or Kodak Generations
true photo
papers for the ultimate in photographic quality. These are more
expensive, and take a wee bit
longer to produce, than "home-grown" inkjet prints, but the
small difference is well worth it!
Cameras:
These photographs were made with Leica (both film and digital) or
Canon and Olympus digital cameras, using both Leica & Olympus
lenses.
