All designed in Germany, by Oscar Barnack, for  Leitz, Wetzlar,
The Leica I (intoduced 1931) requred an optional rangefinder.
The Leica II, (intoduced 1932) had an integral rangefinder.
The Leica III (introduced 1933) added slow shutter speeds
to the Leica II, and was Barnack's last design, before
he died, in 1935.
