| The R4s was a
simplified version of the R4 having only the Manual and Aperture Priority
settings. However, it proved to be a more reliable camera than the
original R4. Produced from 1983 to 1985, in included all the features of
the R4 except the 'P' and 'T' modes, and was available only in Black
Chrome. |

Made from 1985 to 1988, the
R4s Mod 2 had many internal
improvements and proved to be more robust than the R4s. It also added
two new features. You could now switch from full to spot metering by
pressing the program selector when in Manual mode and the shutter speeds
were shown in the viewfinder. The rewind knob was enlarged and the
eyecup/correction lens holder was improved. A slide switch was now
used for exposure compensation (over-ride) and the rapid-advance lever was
fully encased in plastic. Available only in Black Chrome. |
